Channels: Explore the Governments Cloverleaf Covers

Channels are how you track government bodies in Cloverleaf—like city councils, school boards, and state agencies. Their meetings are transcribed and searchable. Filter by Channel to focus on the jurisdictions and decision-makers that matter to you.

What Is a Channel?

  • A Channel is a specific government entity covered by Cloverleaf. Each Channel has its own page with meeting history, speaker information, and external government resources. Examples include the Chicago City Council, California Department of Transportation, or the Arizona State Legislature.
  • The Channel Directory is a searchable list of every Channel Cloverleaf currently covers. It allows you to browse by geography or government type to discover communities relevant to your work.

How to Access the Channel Directory

Click the Channels icon in the left-hand toolbar of the platform. From here, you can:

  • Use the search bar at the top to look up a city, county, or agency by name
  • Filter by:
    • State
    • County
    • Channel Type (explained below)

This makes it easy to pinpoint the exact communities you care about—whether you’re tracking broadband infrastructure in New Mexico or stormwater planning in Orange County.

Viewing a Channel Page

Once you find a Channel in the directory, click its name to open the Channel Page. Here, you’ll find:

  • Channel Name & Type
  • Local Population
  • External Links:
    • Home Page – Opens the government agency’s main website
    • Contact Page – Links to a staff directory or leadership contact info
  • Meeting Archive – A list of all transcribed meetings Cloverleaf has for that channel

Search Within a Channel

On any Channel Page, you’ll see a “Search This Channel” button in the top-right corner.

Clicking it takes you back to the homepage with the Channel filter already applied—so you can immediately begin a keyword-based search focused on just that one agency or government body.

This is ideal for:

  • Creating highly targeted Campaigns
  • Tracking decision-makers in one community
  • Reviewing historical meeting patterns
